Contemplative Prayer Group

Why?
We live in a world full of noise, an incessant bombardment of words, even within the privacy of our own minds. Our very relationship with God is defined by words: prayers, Bible study, sermons, and endless activity.
You are invited to experience the ancient Christian practice of centering prayer in a small group of 6-8 participants, led by a trained spiritual director. The group will support each other in making this and other contemplative spiritual disciplines a regular habit over this 3 month period, long enough for the practice to deepen, take root, and blossom.
Who?
Lay leaders (anyone who regularly attends church and is an active participant in the life and activities of the fellowship) who are interested in learning and practicing centering prayer and other contemplative practices in the Christian tradition
